It was bred by Ed Currie, of the PuckerButt Pepper Company in South Carolina, USA.

Despite the intense heat, Miss. Carolina is (supposedly) supposed to have a sweet, slightly smoky flavor, hahaha… The result is a spicy oil that is smooth as silk, but has the power of a volcano.
