The wisdom of bees for well-being and increased resilience
Usage: 1 heaped teaspoon twice a day, morning and evening.
Consume pollen every day, on an empty stomach, until you have used up the entire contents of the jar. It is best to leave it overnight in a glass of water or tea, even yogurt or kefir. The granules consumed in this way will be easier to digest, and the bioactive substances from the pollen will be more easily absorbed into the bloodstream. We recommend that you scoop it up with a wooden or ceramic spoon (plastic is no longer recommended, and metal is not the best).
The 'modern' bee, as we know it today, has survived 12 million years of evolution on the planet mainly because it has developed the best approach and methods for self-preservation. When collecting honey, bees capture pollen on their delicate body, which is full of small hairs. This is formed in the anthers of higher plants and is intended for plant reproduction - pollen is the most protein-rich part of the plant.
The bee cleans the pollen from its body, moistens it with saliva and honeydew, and places it in a basket on its hind legs. Upon returning to the hive, it deposits it in a honeycomb cell. The bees additionally moisten it with saliva, press it to the bottom of the cell, and cover it with a thin layer of honey, thus naturally preventing spoilage. Bees need pollen to feed their larvae, as it provides them with all the important ingredients for growth and development, and it is also important for the secretion of wax.
Interesting facts about pollen – do you know them?
To obtain one gram of pollen, a bee must visit at least 50 flowers, and beekeepers only take 10 percent or a good 3 kilograms per bee colony to maintain health and balance in the hive. Pollen has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects and has proven positive effects on improving the body's resistance. As such, it is considered a 'natural antibiotic'. Daily consumption of pollen has a calming effect and improves mood. 30 g of pollen contains as many amino acids as 7 eggs! It is a natural superfood that was revered in ancient Egypt, and it is known that the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates prescribed it as a source of protein, minerals and fats.
While enjoying high-quality pollen from an unspoiled environment, such as the property of our Vizjak farm, it is also important to consume it as fresh as possible and store it properly.
